Do It On a Budget: Call up the folks at Ike’s Beach Service and ask them for a volleyball net. For $75, they’ll bring and set up the net, so your whole family can enjoy some cardio in the sand!
Where? Speaking of playing sports, we’ve got plenty of championship-caliber golf along the Alabama Gulf Coast, however that doesn’t usually fall into the budget-friendly category. Luckily, traditional golf isn’t the only fun we’re having on the coast!
Do It For Free: Head to Orange Beach for a little disk golf action. The whole family can get in on this easy to learn activity. It’s like traditional golf but instead of golf balls, clubs, and holes, you’re playing with a Frisbee, your hands, and nets.
Do It On a Budget: Have you heard of Foot Golf? Glen Lakes Golf Course in Foley offers more family-friendly fun! Played on a regular golf course, you’ll use a soccer ball and your feet! Cost is $8 for students up to 18 years old, and $12 for adults. Cart rental is an additional $10, but Foot Golfers say it’s actually easier to walk the course because of the shorter distance between shots.
